There is a huge demand for cleaning buckets in the United States. These supplies enable people to begin the overwhelming job of cleaning up after a flood or hurricane.  We will continue to collect cleaning supplies for the United Methodist Committee on Relief.

The next UMCOR truck will be at ‘Mission u’ in July. Kathy will take any additional buckets that can be filled as ‘Mission u’ delegates are asked to bring in cleaning kits from their churches.

UMCOR updated the cleaning product list in May due to  difficulty in finding some of the requested sizes as well as the foam sponges which prevent mildew.   Click on the UMCOR Flood Bucket link to the right for the revised list.

There is a great need for relief supply kits in the United States.   We are collecting UMCOR Hygiene, School, and Cleaning Kits to take to Annual Conference in June.   Individual items or complete kits are gathered in the red crate or white bucket at the narthex mission shelf.  Click on the UMCOR Relief Supply Kits for the list.

Donations of yarn and/or completed prayer shawls are needed.   Prayer Shawls are to give to those in need of comfort as well as celebration.   Crafters pray for the unknown recipient as the shawl is being knitted or crocheted.

The deadline for the United Methodist Mountain Mission boxes is Sunday, May 6th. Household Items and gently used clothing/shoes are welcomed. The mission has been serving people of eastern Kentucky since 1943.

Help fill food baskets for area families by taking slips from the Giving Tree in the narthex.  Donations are to be at the church by December 16th.

Christmas cards will be delivered to friends who are confined to their homes, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities.  The list is published in the December newsletter and Sunday bulletins.  Cards are due by December 10th.

The red gift bag on the center Sanctuary table is for donations to purchase Christmas gifts for families.
